The Technical College at Applied Science Private University was established in response to the Royal Vision aimed at developing technical and applied education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This vision seeks to qualify human resources for the labor market by providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills across various technical and vocational fields. This educational sector has become one of the most important pillars of human resource development in Jordan, as it focuses on building the professional and technical capacities required to prepare a workforce capable of driving the wheels of production and services.
Applied Science Private University has consistently taken the lead in advancing the quality of applied and technical education through academic programs designed to enhance critical thinking and self-learning skills, and to equip students with practical and life skills that supply the local and regional labor markets with highly competent graduates. Accordingly, approval was granted to establish the Technical College at Applied Science Private University in July 2024, pursuant to the decision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (7652).
In its first academic year (2025/2026), the Technical College launched the first group of its diploma-level programs, totaling four programs. Three of these are national diploma programs, and one is a British diploma (BTEC), as follows:
-Intermediate Diploma in Digital Media Applications (Applied).
-Intermediate Diploma in Fine Arts and Crafts (Applied).
As the College seeks to offer both national and British (BTEC) diploma programs, accreditation was obtained from Al-Balqa Applied University for the national diploma program curricula to ensure their alignment with the requirements of the Comprehensive Examination for students wishing to bridge after completing their diploma studies. With regard to the British (BTEC) diploma programs, Applied Science Private University has been accredited by Pearson Education as a licensed center to deliver BTEC programs and issue certificates accredited by the British awarding body.
In its commitment to providing students with the best opportunities for applied and technical education, the College has prepared the Student Affairs Deanship building, in its first phase, to serve as the headquarters of the College Deanship, faculty offices, as well as classrooms and laboratories. According to the University’s plan, the entire building will be developed over the next two years to become a fully integrated facility and center for students enrolled in technical and applied diploma programs.
The College also seeks to develop a range of facilities, including workshops and laboratories for training purposes, to support its students’ educational experience, in addition to offering training courses and technical consultancy services to the private sector, contributing to the development of operational systems and the enhancement of human resource capacities.

The college is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories that use hardware, software and educational tools that meet the needs of students, faculty and academic programs that are offered. In addition, the College has Lecture Halls that are also equipped with the necessary educational facilities and tools. The college always seeks to update its educational facilities in order to stay competitive. All computers in the college are connected to a local area network and to the internet. The Faculty’s building is equipped with a wireless LAN. The college seeks to provide state-of-the-art educational programs that are consistent with local and international standards.
We are proud to win through our students many National and Regional contests in the field of IT. Recently, a group of our students has achieved the second place in ITSAF2011 that students from almost all the Jordanian universities have participated in. In the Orange Apps Awards 2011, another group of our students has also achieved the second place for Entertainment category.
The Faculty of Information Technology seeks to excel in all academic and administrative aspects. It continuously improves its programs and facilities in order to cope up with the needs of the local community and the entire region. In addition, it tries to meet the highest possible quality standards in education, scientific research and comprehensive support for students.
To graduate students of excellent quality who are able to engage in the labor market in the public and private sectors, or enroll in programs of higher academic studies. The college tries to stay in touch with its graduates (alumni) after they leave.

The faculty is distinguished by its commitment to promote education, training, and research in all aspects of design, development and use of medications. We faithfully seek to contribute to the promotion of health and wellbeing of individuals by providing high quality of education in various disciplines of pharmacy, and to succeed in maintaining impactful connection between academia and community service, considering updates in job requirements.
In FOP, we are also keen to turn the results of the conducted research into practice for the most important health aspects, technology, and knowledge as part of our mission to serve people, patients, and practitioners in Jordan, the Arab region, and the world.
The Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies used to be an important department within the Faculty of Arts and Science since 1991/1992 for about 3 decades.
In the Faculty, there is one department called the Foundation of Fiqh. Its study plan is aimed at equipping students with both Sharia’s general knowledge and special qualification in the Foundation of Fiqh.
The graduates are expected to be capable to work in Sharia, Awqaf, the General Iftaa Department, Quran and Islamic centers in Jordan and abroad.
The Department is proud of its students’ achievements in the Proficiency Exam held in 2016/2017 and the next two academic years, as they came top among public and private universities. Since the first time the exam was held, they have never been less than third.
As is the case with other departments, the students should take field training in education, Islamic courts or Islamic banks.
There is also a recitation lab launched in 2007/2008.
The Faculty of Science was established in 2023 as part of the university’s commitment to scientific and technical programs and its important role in helping students learn the skills needed to succeed in industry, scientific research, and academia. The faculty currently includes three departments: the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Mathematics, and the Department of Basic Sciences/Scientific. The Faculty grants a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Mathematics, as well as a Master’s degree in Chemistry.
The Faculty teaches basic scientific and practical courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology to students in the university’s scientific faculties: Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology, and Nursing. Through the various courses, the Faculty seeks to provide students with the fundamental knowledge necessary to develop their specialized academic structure, in addition to developing their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities by stimulating deep understanding of scientific concepts.
The Faculty is committed to constructing and serving the local community in all fields. It also trains its students in local community organizations to provide them with work skills and prepare them to participate in the local work community.
The Faculty of Nursing was established as a department in the Faculty of Medical Sciences in 1992; and started as independent faculty in 2006. The faculty of Nursing established a clinical master program which started 2013-2014 by which it is the first program accredited among all other private universities.Faculty of Nursing Departments:

The Faculty of Nursing offers a distinct atmosphere of study. It deals with students on a strong academic basis. The departments provide courses according to the study plan including both theoretical and practical subjects. The faculty of nursing aims to improve the students’ skills by the use of problem solving techniques, the use of scientific research and focuses on self-development and performance improvement. It stresses on the importance of obtaining new and updated knowledge in order to keep successful changes in health field at all levels locally, regionally and globally.
Legal study at the Applied Sciences Private University has been officially inaugurated in 1991 through the Department of Law and Islamic Law, under the Faculty of Arts. In 1993, the Department was transformed into an independent faculty of law.
The Faculty sits the oldest private faculty of law in Jordan, it is one of the finest law faculties in the country, renowned for the quality of its teaching.
Today, the Faculty incorporates the Arbitration and Consultation Center which aims to training the students as well as serving the social community.
It also obtained academic accreditation from the French High Council for the Evaluation of Scientific Research and Higher Education (HCÉRES) for a period of five years in 2020, and it was renewed for another five years in 2025.
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was established in September of 1992 and within its first year it attracted 170 students. Currently the faculty serves over 1010 students in seven bachelor degree programs: Electrical Engineering /Communications and Computer Engineering, Power and Renewable Energy Engineering (Power and Control Engineering previously), Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering ,Architecture Engineering and Renewable Energy Technology housed in five academic departments: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering ,Architecture Engineering, and Renewable Energy Technology. All programs are accredited by the Jordanian Accreditation Commission of Higher Education Institutions.
The faculty has 46 highly credentialed faculty members in the various academic ranks with diverse back grounds and various specialties and research interests, who have been carefully selected to serve the students and guide them through their academic endeavors.
The growth in student numbers has been accompanied with a similar growth in laboratories and facilities. The Faculty of Engineering & Technology is housed in a building with about twenty thousand square meters in addition to the Engineering Workshops building which is about four thousand square meters and The Renewable Energy Center.
The Faculty of Engineering & Technology has been continually working on improving of its services according to a well-established continual improvement plan, in order to provide students with state of the art skills needed to compete in the work force and continued success in their higher education.

The Faculty of Dentistry at Applied Science University (ASU) is dedicated to providing high-quality dental education and training. It offers a Doctor of Dental Science Degree, a rigorous and comprehensive undergraduate education that prepares students for a career in dentistry. It spans five years of full-time study for 213 credit hours, during which students receive a strong foundation in basic medical and dental sciences and hands-on clinical training.
The faculty of dentistry facilities including State-of-the-art dental clinics, laboratories, and simulation centers, are available to support student learning and clinical practice.
The Faculty of Business is considered one of the top leading faculties in the private higher education sector in Jordan. Based on the university philosophy and its general objectives and mission, the Faculty of Business is continuously working on the improvement and adjustment of the quality of its educational programs and processes. The Faculty of Business focuses on the integration between the theoretical and practical fields to prepare a cadre of future managers and leaders equipped with the knowledge and the tools to meet the demand of the different economic sectors as well as the labor markets both locally and regionally. It also contributes to the supporting of the development process and scientific advancements and is working to harness information and modern technology to prepare students according to the needs of this century. FOB is also committed to continually develop its academic programs to keep it aligned with emerging needs of job market. Accordingly, the Faculty shows a keen concern to revise and improve its curricula in light of job market requirements and to introduce specific academic programs that contribute to supplying the job market with qualified and specialized competencies.
All programs at The Faculty of Business are intended to provide the knowledge and professional skills necessary for graduates to compete successfully in domestic and global job markets. This includes interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills, the ability to identify and solve problems, the ability to write and speak clearly, and the principles of ethics and standards of professional conduct. The Faculty of Business is also concerned with the offering of practical training and internships programs to its students to act in accordance with its philosophy of practical application of theories and modern concepts. Thereby all students in all departments must complete a practical training program as a mandatory requirement for graduation; through which students complete an internship program aligning with the nature of his degree at a local or regional organization which enables the student to be prepared to perform the jobs and tasks required from his after graduation. Also, the Faculty of Business focuses on the interactive learning, through which, a number of experts from different sectors are invited to deliver lectures with a particular emphasis on practice. Such lectures are provided in specialized interactive learning halls designed for this purpose.
FOB pays a special attention to local and international quality accreditation as a guarantee for upgrading the entire educational process. In line with this, the Faculty of Business obtained a local quality certificate-silver level, which is granted by the Commission for the Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions and its Quality Assurance in Jordan. On the international level, FOB obtained the eligibility for the AACSB (an International Accreditation Certificate) in 2018 as one of the first Business Faculties in Jordan. Furthermore, the Initial Self Evaluation Report (iSER) for The Faculty of Business was also approved by AACSB in 2021, suggesting that the faculty is a step far from being officially AACSB accredited institution and to become of the 5% accredited
institutions all over the world. Furthermore, the Marketing Department with its Bachelor’s and Master’s programs also obtained the IIMP international accreditation, granted by the International Association of Professional Marketers, located in Canada. This is indeed a milestone, qualifying the Department of Marketing at FOB to be the first academic department in Jordan and the Middle East to get this accreditation for all programs at a time. The Faculty of Business has a group of distinguished faculty members with exceptional scientific and practical experiences and from different scientific ranks. Additionally, the Faculty has a talented cadre of administrative specialist performing secretarial and laboratory work.
Established in 1991-1992 at the Applied Science Private University campus in Shafa Badran, Amman, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities has been a cornerstone of ASU since its inception. The faculty has consistently kept pace with ASU’s progress and prosperity in various fields.

The Faculty of Art and Design at the Applied Science Private University (ASU) has been a pioneer in teaching art and design since its establishment in 1992 as a Department of Fine Arts and in 2005 as a Faculty of Art and Design. The faculty has managed, since its inception and until today, to supply the local and the Arab markets with qualified staff in graphic and interior design. However, the increasing usage of advanced ways of thinking to solve complex global problems has prompted the Faculty of Art and Design to pursue new methods and approaches in teaching art and design. Since the establishment of the Faculty of Art and Design in 1992, the faculty members have believed FAD/ASU to be at the forefront, not only as an institution improving the impact of design, but also in terms of defining the role of a design school.
The main motivation behind the emergence of the Faculty was the provision of a specialized and creative technical environment for design education, which would raise the awareness of the students and the Jordanian community about the concept of art and design, and the significant role it plays in creating a new design culture. FAD/ASU alumni have a significant role in spreading this culture through their presence in different locations within the design industry in Jordan and abroad, representing the faculty in the best possible light.
FAD/ASU have a diverse community, Jordanian and Arabs students who believe in developing their tools and methods of thinking monetary and innovation, providing a framework for students to practice soft skills. design critiques, student presentations, team projects, and deadlines are all opportunities for a student to improve their skills., aimed to serve Human and Society, through a set of laboratories and halls correlated and assigned to practice design, practicing the design process, to achieve the desired goals and therefore, it is very important to encourage them to make sure they take the responsibilities of their work and to aspire for personal ability.
Through a four years’ journey, the Students receives a combination of education and supervision by a team of academics, and practitioners of Art and Design. Supporting students with practice and knowledge to enable them to strengthen their various areas of expertise, urging and motivating them to develop their tools in thinking, planning and implementation.
FAD/ASU provides students with the possibility of specializing in a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Design for Digital Media, Interior Design, or Fashion and Accessories Design. It also provides the possibility of pursuing a Master’s Degree in Interior Design. Adopting reflective practice which is the link between theory and practice and a powerful means of using theory to inform practice, thus promoting evidence based practice. Through a practical experience, it is expected to qualifies students to work within the team and to apply what they have learned in the design industry.
These capabilities, by being environmentally friendly, creative and innovative, have helped the faculty to move forward beyond what is traditionally, through a network of relationships with the international organizations specialized in the design, as well the Academic ties with a group of institutes and universities around the world, which enable the faculty to promote their students locally, regionally and globally.
