Chemistry is a necessary discipline. It includes many fields, where chemistry is mainly concerned with studying the living and non-living natural elements and compounds on Earth and its components, and studying their construction, properties and interactions among them. The University has equipped modern and advanced educational laboratories for all stages of the Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Study plans were prepared to link chemistry with applied science, technology and industry. To benefit the student in the field of work with what he learned during the study. The specialization also contains new courses that keep pace with modern scientific developments such as nanotechnology and quality control. The Department aims to provide the Jordanian, Arab and international market with technically trained talents in different chemical fields to serve various institutions such as pharmaceutical companies and biological equivalence study centres, institutions for the supply of scientific devices and laboratory supplies, the Food and Drug Corporation, the Standards and Metrology Organization, the ministries of water, agriculture, mineral wealth, and factories. In addition to providing students with basic knowledge, enabling them to acquire the necessary skills and providing them with the required expertise to work in the field of teaching in various educational institutions. The Department also aims to prepare students scientifically to prepare them to pursue postgraduate studies and scientific research in various chemical sciences and their applications.

Providing the Jordanian, Arab and international market with technically trained competencies in the various chemical fields to serve different institutions such as pharmaceutical companies and biological equivalence study centres, institutions for the supply of scientific devices and laboratory supplies, the Food and Drug Establishment, the Institution for Standards and Metrology, the Ministry of Water, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Mineral Resources, Factories, environmental protection, food testing centres.
• 3. Provide students with basic knowledge and enable them to acquire the necessary skills and provide them with the required expertise to work in the field of teaching in various educational institutions.
• 4. Preparing students with a scientific preparation that allows them to pursue postgraduate studies and scientific research in various chemical sciences and their applications.
• 5. Constructive scientific communication with the corresponding universities at the local, regional and global levels in order to exchange scientific and teaching experiences.
• 6. Supporting the University’s scientific specializations from the Faculties of Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology and Nursing with the materials it needs from the Chemistry Department.
