The American ABET Accreditation

​​The first private university in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to obtain the global accreditation of ABET for all its engineering programs: Electric/ Communications and Computer Engineering, Power and Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Civil Engineering.

ABET is considered number one certified organization for engineering programs accreditation in the US, the continuing development of the quality of education is one of the most important factors to academic accreditation.

All the academic programs in ASU’s Faculty of Engineering (Electric/ Communications and Computer Engineering, Power and Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Civil Engineering) have got their ABET accreditation. This indicates the following:​

  • The Faculty of Engineering applies the specifications of educational quality internationally agreed upon by the educational experts of engineering.
  • This paves the way to introduce new joint graduate programs with outstanding US universities.
  • This enhances the educational outcomes in this faculty as it can match engineering faculties in US and other international universities.
  • This also helps ASU graduates to pursue higher education in outstanding US universities and enhances their opportunity to be hired.​
