The Faculty of Law team at Applied Science Private University has achieved a remarkable international milestone by advancing to the Round of 16 in the global rounds of the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition 2026, organized by the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. The team ranked 13th worldwide, marking a historic first for Jordan as the first Jordanian team to reach this advanced stage in one of the world’s most prestigious law school competitions. The team had qualified for the global rounds after winning the regional competition held in Cairo.
This achievement follows a highly competitive journey, during which the team delivered outstanding performances and secured a series of victories against teams from leading international universities, including Ain Shams University in Egypt, the University of Fort Hare in South Africa, and the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, which they defeated on points to clinch qualification. This accomplishment earned the team a place among the top 16 teams worldwide, alongside teams from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Egypt, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Romania, Serbia, and Austria.
Representing Jordan in this prestigious competition was a distinguished team of students: Abdullah Sorour, Asal Al-Jarjawi, Layan Foudeh, and Sulaf Al-Assad, who demonstrated a high level of academic excellence and delivered a professional performance that reflects great credit on both the University and Jordan.
This achievement underscores the advanced standing of Applied Science Private University in the field of legal education and highlights its role in preparing graduates who are capable of competing confidently and competently on the international stage.
