About Faculty

The Faculty of Science was established in 2023 as part of the university’s commitment to scientific and technical programs and its important role in helping students learn the skills needed to succeed in industry, scientific research, and academia. The faculty currently includes three departments: the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Mathematics, and the Department of Basic Sciences/Scientific. The Faculty grants a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Mathematics, as well as a Master’s degree in Chemistry.

The Faculty teaches basic scientific and practical courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology to students in the university’s scientific faculties: Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology, and Nursing. Through the various courses, the Faculty seeks to provide students with the fundamental knowledge necessary to develop their specialized academic structure, in addition to developing their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities by stimulating deep understanding of scientific concepts.

The Faculty is committed to constructing and serving the local community in all fields. It also trains its students in local community organizations to provide them with work skills and prepare them to participate in the local work community.

Dean's Message

It is my honor and privilege to welcome you as the Dean of the Faculty of Science, a vibrant and diverse academic community dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, excellence, and innovation. Our faculty stands as a hub for intellectual curiosity, fostering a dynamic environment that spans various disciplines. Today, I am thrilled to highlight two distinctive bachelor’s programs that epitomize our commitment to academic excellence – Bachelor’s’ program in mathematics and Bachelor’s program in chemistry.

Our Bachelor’s Program in Mathematics is designed to cultivate analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a profound understanding of mathematical principles. Whether students aspire to delve into pure mathematics, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics, our program offers a robust curriculum that prepares them for a myriad of career paths and advanced studies.

Similarly, our Bachelor’s Program in Chemistry provides a comprehensive education in the fundamental principles of chemistry, equipping students with the skills necessary for research, industry, and beyond. From theoretical concepts to hands-on laboratory experiences, our program emphasizes critical thinking and practical application, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the challenges of the scientific landscape.

At the heart of our Faculty of Science lies the Department of Basic Sciences, a cornerstone that provides foundational modules catering to the diverse needs of all programs across various faculties throughout the university. These fundamental courses form the backbone of scientific education, fostering a well-rounded understanding that transcends disciplinary boundaries.

One of the hallmarks of our faculty is its international character. We proudly welcome students from around the world, creating a rich tapestry of cultures, perspectives, and ideas. This global outlook is integral to our vision of establishing international collaborations, fostering a robust research environment, and achieving the highest international accreditations and standards.

To our national and international students, I extend a warm welcome and encourage you to immerse yourself in the intellectual tapestry of our faculty. Together, we will create an environment that not only values diversity but leverages it for the betterment of our academic community and the world beyond.

As we embark on this academic journey, let us collectively strive to elevate our Faculty of Science to new heights. By nurturing academic curiosity, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and embracing the global nature of science, we aim to produce graduates who are not only well-prepared professionals but also global citizens contributing to the advancement of knowledge and society.
