Center’s objective ​

The Faculty Development Center at Applied Science Private University aims to ensure the achievement of quality standards in education through the development and upgrading of teaching and research competencies and skills of faculty members at the university.                      

In order to achieve this, the Center:

• Develops and improves university teaching methods and methodologies.
• Consolidates the concept of total quality in university education.
• Develops the skills of faculty members regarding the preparation and updating of course plans.
• Emphasizes the ethics of academic work as the university is a habitat for knowledge and virtue.
• Urges increased cooperation among faculty members in order to exchange expertise and experiences.
• Follows up the periodic evaluation of faculty members in order to emphasize strengths, improve, and remedy weaknesses.

The Tasks of the Faculty Development Center Council

•  Supervising the activities of faculties with regard to developing the performance 
• Of faculty members.
•  Holding training workshops at the university level to develop the performance of faculty members. 
• Holding the induction and training program for newly appointed Faculty members at the university level. 
• Holding an awareness program for administrative leaders: deans, their assistants, and heads of departments. 
•  Informing faculty members through the deanships about the available opportunities and courses that can be participated in, whether inside or outside the university, in order to develop performance.
• Establishing local and international partnerships with the entities concerned with development.
